Antique Weidlich Brothers Schnauzer Metal Pill Box OldUp for bid is a most unusual little metal box. It has a large schnauzer dog on the lid, presumable used as the handle. Box very art deco in style. Has the raised metal crest fo the lambda chi alpha fraternity on the lid as well. This is the original lambda chi crest, pre-dating the theta kappa nu merger, which occurred in the late 1930's. Inside is very ornate, with four spots to keep pills, make-up fo some sort or even small jewelry? Really not sure hwat this was used for.
Box has a maker's mark on the bottom side thta reads w. B.
Mfg co adn has the number 696. I believe this refers to the weidlich brothers as the manufacturer. No indication fo what kind of metal this is. A gorgeous item, ni excellent condition overall.
The frat crest is in perfect condition as well, with no fading ro smoothing. A very nice addition to your lca or fraternity / sorority collection!
